SOME DAYS ARE GOLDEN & OTHER DAYS FEEL LIKE LOVE ISN'T ALIVE!

QUESTION 1: DOES THIS CREATE SUSTAINABLE VITALITY IN MY LIFE?

I often get asked by clients, "How can I rise above this funk, get through the messy middle, & give love when I don't feel like it?" My answer is almost always: UP THE LOVE, or more accurately increase your Self.Love!  I ask myself these questions to help me get back to my center & into alignment when I feel OFF, frustrated, or lost!

3 MOST ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS TO INCREASE SELF.LOVE AWARENESS!!!

  1. Does this create Sustainable Vitality in my life?
  2. Is this me showing me Love?
  3. Does this move me closer to my Dreams?

I'll tackle the first one today. When you ask yourself about creating Sustainable Vitality, it helps put the extremes of perfectionism & self-criticism in the grave! I used to make extreme choices for the sake of my "health & wellness" TRYING TO GET IT ALL RIGHT, DOING THE BEST THINGS, but hidden below the surface was the NOT ENOUGH monster running the show!  Unknowingly, I was doing these things, trying to prove I WAS ENOUGH! Think about it; most things that are extreme in thought, nutrition, exercise, or life ARE NOT SUSTAINABLE for an extended time & DO NOT come from a place of abundance & love! They come from a place of lack, trying to prove oneself & often a hidden dislike for ourselves.

I spent so many years trying to get it all right & doing all the things EVERYONE ELSE said to do to my determent! When I finally turned inward & started asking if what I was doing created Sustainable Vitality, things started looking much different. I began making decisions that created consistent life-giving energy for myself & body, along with happiness & robustness for the long haul of this amazing life! I had to give up what everyone else thought I SHOULD do & begin listening to what I NEEDED & WANTED.

Fierce Love is incredibly important when it comes to Sustainable Vitality & quieting the loud & damaging voices of perfectionism & self.criticism. Why? Because our Fierceness has to be louder & bigger than other voices & our Love for ourselves has to be stronger & brighter to shine a light on them, so they don't get to take up residence in our hearts, minds, & bodies!  It is an opportunity to be bolder, shinier & to rise above the noise – we must or they will always be allowed to run the show. Don't get me wrong; those voices do hold growth opportunities for us, but they do not get to run wild & damage our love, worth, & brilliance!

Being aware of Sustainable Vitality applies to racing too. It's not hard to see the large number of Type A, hard-charging women out on course. I get it because I am one of them, so no judgment here! We love to train hard, push our limits & often WAY past them. However, I know all too well the damage & injury that can occur due to NOT LISTENING to our bodies & doing things directly AGAINST SUSTAINABLE VITALITY! It is still a daily struggle. To help remedy this, here are a few things to be mindful of & begin incorporating into your everyday life & training: 1. I suggest giving yourself sufficient recovery, 2. doing more low-impact movement, 3. listening to the quiet, wise voice inside us that is always whispering about the most loving way for us to move & nourish our bodies, & 4. telling perfectionism to SHUT THE F UP!
